Obzidiian — An Adoptive Resolution (Or, the End of Saver and Dii)
Its rather late for a visitor, she thought as she hurridly put her book down and stood, I hope nothing’s gone wrong in the village.
She stopped before opening the door to check her appearance in a mirror and to re-memorize a few offensive spells should the person at the door be an intruder. Opening the door, she was not prepared for the identity of her visitor.
“Dii” the figure said softly.
Her surprise showed for a moment, then she quickly schooled her face.

Khalizzi V`Neef — Introduction
Born into House V`neef, I was trained young in the ways and paths of socializing. Deals, friendships, even false ones, are things which make or break business. I was sufficiently adept at these things. However, growing up I tended to spend more time in the temple than studying those things my tutors taught me. Instead, I tried to teach myself the ways of the Immaculate Order. I would climb trees and peer over the Temple walls and watch the monks as they performed their martial meditations. I would stand in the trees and mock their movements. It was doing this that got me caught and changed my path in life.
The monk who caught me seemed magnificent. His silk robe, the color of crystal sea, fit his muscular frame well. I felt more than knew I’d been caught as a cool wind refreshed me in the tree. I looked down and there he was. I swear I could see the clouds in his eyes.

Emeriel — Five Quests Excerpt
The Twilight and I have been working together for some time now. I am learning more and more about magic and sorcery with his help. There is certainly no way that I would be able to create this spell without his assistance. At least not in any timely fashion. . . I imagine it would take at least ten years alone but it is a quest I cannot give up.
Xephan tells me that every Solar who learns sorcery undergoes a set of five quests, each corresponding to the Sun’s phases. As he described them I tried to think back and remember and decipher when I underwent each phase.

Emeriel — Memories of the Past
“Emmy” a soft voice called, carried by the same gentle wind that caressed Emeriel’s face and teased her hair as she looked up from her book, startled out of her reverie. She gazed around the forest clearing, searching for the figure of the person who had called her. Read the rest of this entry »

Emeriel — The Return of Landias
Emeriel had just sat down to work with Xephan when she heard a knock at the door of her manse. A puzzled look crossed her face as she stood gracefully and walked to the door. Xephan, his hair tousled, gave her a questioning look as she expended the essence to extend her sword to a more reasonable length and hid it in the folds of her skirt behind her back.
“It is not one of my Circlemates, Xeph.”
He nodded, immediately understanding that a visitor at Emeriel’s manse in the middle of nowhere likely meant trouble, and gathered the books and put them on the bookshelf as Emeriel called out, “Just a minute.”

Emeriel — Consorting with Animals
A low growl interrupted Emeriel’s concentration and she sighed softly, reaching down to softly scratch the head of the wolf who sat alertly beside her.
“What is wrong, my sweet?” She communicated to him, using the bond between them.
“I do not like that snow creature. His strength and intelligence grow daily. I do not like the way he watches Obzidian or our new cub.” The wolf replied, clearly perturbed and upset.
